On 26 December 2004 an unprecedented sea surge disaster killed thousands of people and destroyed the livelihoods of millions of others in the coastal areas of South Asia. The worse hit country in Asia is Sri Lanka and Thailand, Phuket Island.On 30 January 2006 it has been 13 months and 4 days after the Tsunami hit Phuket Island, Me and my Girlfriend when to Phuket to visit the biggest island in Andaman Sea and it is a great experience for both of us, to have the change to see the one of the worse hit island in asia to develop back to the most famous and most visited island in the world. It Show that the Phuket Goverment is speeding up the restoration of the landscape of Phuket beaches, especially Patong beach and Kamala beach due to high number of tourist and visitor all year round. This will be some of the evacuation signboard you will see along all the beaches in Phuket island.
